‘We wanted our day to reflect who we are, surrounded by those that are closest to us. During the planning process we felt it was important to stand by this to ensure it remained our special day, which meant not including some wedding norms. We fell in love with Sol Gardens due to its beautiful grounds and natural feel, and the ability it gave us to customise the day as a BYO drinks and catering venue. We decided to include food and drinks that felt like home – we love Italian food and chose drinks from Dexter’s hometown, Adelaide.
 
Each supplier was chosen because we got along with them, they were local and experienced. We knew we would be spending a lot of time with them on the day and leading up to it, so it was so important that we got along with them. Working with Bernice was great – she made us feel comfortable and natural being on camera. She was kind, supportive and shared many jokes with the boys whilst they were getting ready. We love the video she has put together. It captures the feelings of the day perfectly and helps us to relive it over and over again.
 
Our wedding day was filled with love, laughter and fun, not to mention great food that everyone is still talking about. It went way too fast and we wish we had more time to take in the day.’
